When the liquid carbon dioxide being under pressure is suddenly brought to the atmospheric conditions. some part of the carbon dioxide takes snowy shape,the other part becomes gas.Solid carbon dioxide, namely dry ice is obtained in various shapes by pressurizing the snow shaped carbon dioxide under presses. Natural carbon dioxide is used in most of the commercial fields.

Dry ice is produced from carbon dioxide (CO2). Carbon dioxide in liquid state which feeds dry ice production machine from the liquid carbon dioxide tank forms dry ice snow by undergoing a physical transformation via expansion at atmospheric pressure in the machine. This snow is transformed to pellet or tablet forms in appropriate diameters and shapes by pressurizing it inside an extruder plate. Temperature of dry ice is -79 C. Due to this low temperature, it is used for cooling in quite different fields such as food preservation and service (e.g. service trolleys in airplanes). dry ice does not leave behind a water accumulation or dampness by dissolving as normal water ice does. It drectly becomes gas and goes into the air. Dry ice (carbon dioxide) s not unhealthy. The gas in the carbonated beverages which we drink delight in ever day life is carbon dioxide gas.
